This Central Otago Riesling is a tribute to the gold-seeking quartz reef miners affectionately known as ‘reefers’ and their unrelenting graft for a better life.

Citrus peel, white florals and fresh ginger aromas. Crisp entry that reveals mandarin and ripe stone fruits, before a long elegant minerality to finish.

The Bannock Brae Reefers Riesling is grown in Central Otago terraces of sandy loam and alluvial gravels that overlie schist bedrock.

The grapes were hand-picked mid-April 2020, after whole bunch pressing the juice was fermented at cool temperatures in stainless steel. The resulting wine was left on its fermentation lees for 6 months to develop texture and length on the palate.
